Short+Sweet Sydney 2025

The Biggest Little Theatre Festival in the World returns to its Sydney birthplace for another sensational season of 10 minute pieces… something for everyone! At its new home at the Turner Theatre in Ultimo, this year’s fest incorporates Pride Week, Short+Sweet Deadly (First Nations themes and artists) and Bite-sized Bard (inspired by Shakespeare). Plus AI-assisted plays, masterclasses and so much more!
Parade - the musical by Bump-in Productions, Brisbane
From 18 July to 2 August
Experience the riveting story of Parade, a groundbreaking musical by Jason Robert Brown and Alfred Uhry. Set against the backdrop of early 20th – century Georgia, this compelling production recounts the true tale of Leo Frank, a Jewish factory manager wrongly accused of the murder of a 13-year-old girl. Through its evocative score and gripping narrative, Parade delves into themes of historical injustice and personal redemption. Praised for its courageous storytelling and nuanced exploration of complex social issues, Parade won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1998 and Best Revival in 2023 and remains a powerful and poignant examination of a dark chapter in history.
